Price Risk Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Evaluate pricing trends in natural gas, power, and fuels markets.

• Formulate and communicate hedging strategies and market positions.

• Track supply/demand dynamics, macroeconomic trends, and forward markets.

• Provide guidance on risk management and hedging choices.

• Assist client teams with both prospective and existing projects.

• Serve as a subject matter expert during client discussions.

• Foster relationships with senior decision-makers.

• Generate market updates, client insights, and alerts regarding market-moving events.

• Conduct webinars and presentations for both internal and external audiences.

• Improve and expand price risk management tools and offerings.

• Contribute to the development of new commercial solutions, including hedging programs.

• Aid in the formulation of pricing strategies and service development.

• Utilize platforms such as Bloomberg, ICE, Platts, EIA, and Power BI.

• Maintain and enhance internal dashboards and reporting tools.

• Convert data into insight-driven recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in energy markets, risk management, commodities, trading, or advisory positions.

• In-depth knowledge of natural gas supply dynamics, power markets, and fuels pricing.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing hedging strategies and financial structures.

• Experience in a client-facing or commercial setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or similar) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics platforms.

• Background in energy procurement, trading, or hedging advisory.

• Industry visibility through presentations, publications, or thought leadership.
