Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive management of mental health medications through a 60-minute intake session followed by regular follow-up visits.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, evaluations for psychiatric medications, and ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-centered treatment strategies, document recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatments in accordance with clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful monitoring, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program (CCNE) or an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE; preference for those with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, completion of a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate programs, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possess an unrestricted state license in Washington.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional practice is required.

• Strong preference will be given to NPs and PA-Cs who hold an active DEA license.

• Candidates with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors are preferred.

• Must have an office space available to see clients.

• Ability to provide care for patients across a full spectrum of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels; preference for providers offering in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
