Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive management of mental health medications through a 60-minute intake session and ongoing follow-up appointments.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful attention, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR graduation from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification via PANCE, with preference given to those holding a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or completion of another academic psychiatry certificate program, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possession of an unrestricted state license in Florida.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience.

• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs who hold an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical expertise in working with minors.

• Must have office space available for seeing clients.

• Capability to provide care for patients across a wide range of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who can offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
