Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive management of mental health medications through an initial 60-minute intake session followed by regular follow-up visits.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, conduct evaluations of psychiatric medications, and oversee ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-focused treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and a dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (such as measurement-based care, patient-centered care, attentive monitoring, and optimizing medication benefits while minimizing risks).

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; or a graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, preferably with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, completion of a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate program, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Hold an unrestricted state license in Connecticut.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) who possess an active DEA license.

• Preference for candidates with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have an office space available for client appointments.

• Ability to provide care to patients presenting a wide range of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels; preference for providers who can offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
