Prescribing Nurse Practitioner – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive management of mental health medications through a 60-minute intake session followed by regular follow-up appointments.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-focused treatment plans, record treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe and oversee psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful attention to risks and benefits of medications).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR complete an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with a preference for those holding a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other relevant academic psychiatry certifications, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possess an unrestricted state license in Oregon.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) with an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have dedicated office space to see clients.

• Ability to provide care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity, with a preference for providers who can offer in-person visits.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
