Prescribing Nurse Practitioner – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-up consultations.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, evaluate psychiatric medications, and provide ongoing medication treatment.

• Develop patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as manage psychiatric medications.

• Demonstrate experience and dedication to delivering safe, evidence-based medication treatment that adheres to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, careful attention to details, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR completion of an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, with a preference for those holding a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other recognized academic psychiatry certificate programs, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possession of an unrestricted state license in Maryland.

• At least 2 years of practical experience.

• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs who have an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have an office space to accommodate client consultations.

• Capability to provide care to patients with a diverse range of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who can offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
