Presales Systems Engineer – HPE Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver pre-sales technical assistance for intricate HPE Networking solutions.

• Oversee pre-sales technical and functional support for both current and potential clients.

• Clearly present and explain the capabilities, value, and competitive advantages of HPE solutions.

• Collaborate with Territory Managers to assess opportunities and turn leads into engagements.

• Develop and outline technological roadmaps tailored for assigned clients.

• Formulate and document technology solutions and proposals that meet customer requirements.

• Execute and assist in customer Proof of Concept engagements.

• Stay informed about competitive networking solutions and strategically position HPE products.

• Interact with internal and external industry specialists to foresee customer needs.

• Engage in proposal creation and provide technical support for the closure of complex deals.

• Cultivate relationships with customers and HPE channel partners.

• Proactively assist with the opportunity pipeline and drive sales processes to successful closure.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering or a related field, or substantial experience in networking technical and pre-sales roles.

• At least 5+ years of professional technical experience in pre-sales or post-sales positions.

• In-depth networking experience, encompassing routing, switching, Wi-Fi, security, SASE, and network management platforms.

• Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud networking solutions.

• Relevant networking certifications such as Aruba Professional, Juniper JNCIE, or Cisco CCIE.

• Experience in network access security, including HPE Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, Cisco ISE, or Forescout.

• Proven ability in creating solution sales offerings across diverse product and service portfolios.

• Strong communication skills and effective customer-facing abilities.

• Capacity to translate product knowledge into tangible business value for customers.

• Ability to collaborate within a team while maintaining a hands-on, customer-centric approach.
