This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Partner Account Managers to carry out pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Assist customers in achieving success by leading the technical and product sales processes, suggesting best-practice solutions, and guiding them on utilizing Twilio’s APIs.
• Position yourself as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership teams of our customers by proactively understanding their technical challenges through discovery, enabling you to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions that address business issues.
• Create and deliver highly interactive, complex, and engaging product demonstrations to effectively showcase the capabilities of Twilio’s Communications Products, while building robust relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactively identify team or organizational requirements, document them thoroughly, assess their criticality, and propose strategies for implementation.
• Contribute to the wider Twilio Presales Engineering community by sharing knowledge, developing demonstration materials, and crafting reusable presentations.
• Mentor junior Presales Engineers and frequently take on the role of facilitator or team leader.
• Capable of presenting at Twilio-sponsored, industry, and internal events.
• 12+ years of pre-sales experience in selling complex technical products, or 12+ years of professional experience in supporting technical products combined with customer-facing roles, particularly in delivery or consulting.
• Exceptional communicator and presenter, able to gain audience confidence and effectively articulate the ROI of products across various use cases to customers.
• Capacity to develop a profound understanding of customers’ communication requirements and guide them toward a suitable technical solution.
• Prior experience with customer engagement and supporting products and technologies, as well as communicating the ROI of products across multiple use cases to clients.
• Exhibits outstanding technical proficiency and thought leadership, actively influencing the team's strategic direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively conveying strategic vision and inspiring others at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
• Customer-focused problem solver, skilled at balancing the creation of innovative technical solutions with prioritizing the best interests of the customer.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture.
• Background in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
• Experience with sales methodologies.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience working with partners (e.g., channel, System Integrator, ISV, etc.).
• Proven experience integrating modern AI productivity tools (e.g., LLMs, technical writing assistants, or AI-driven demo platforms) into your daily workflow to enhance preparation time and accuracy of responses.
