• Oversee the efforts of the presale team throughout the entire presale process.
• Drive the creation of presale documentation (including documents, presentations, and financial models) while effectively balancing hands-on contributions and delegation to team members.
• Organize internal meetings for opportunity qualification, alignment of sales strategies, and proposal review discussions.
• Lead proposal presentation meetings and take on the role of primary presenter.
• Navigate and balance the potentially conflicting interests of internal stakeholders (mainly Sales and Delivery) to ensure the submission of competitive proposals without incurring risky over-commitments.
• Engage in transformation initiatives within the Presale Function (such as developing templates and best practices).
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial software development experience in enterprise-level systems, holding the position of Project Manager or Delivery Manager.
• Proven experience in coordinating presales activities from the initial client meeting to proposal presentation and addressing delivery-related objections.
• Experience in facilitating estimation sessions and translating effort estimates into concrete delivery plans and roadmaps.
• A solid understanding of presales dynamics, including time constraints and ambiguity.
• Familiarity with both informal, highly interactive presales as well as formal RFP responses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from the USA and/or Europe.
• Proficient in presenting proposals and facilitating client calls with stakeholders at the VP and CxO levels.
• Capability to coordinate a group of subject matter experts and swiftly transform them into a highly effective team.
• Practical experience with document/presentation development tools (such as MS Word/Google Docs; MS PowerPoint/Google Slides) – ideally, you should be able to create a visually appealing, logically structured presentation/document with compelling storytelling, even in the absence of a designer or copywriter (although support will typically be available in most cases).
• Understanding of the financial aspects of software delivery, including revenue, margins, and costs.
• Familiarity with common delivery models (project-based vs. talent-based; Time-and-Materials, Fixed Price, etc.).
• Proficient in English at an advanced level or higher.
