This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform investigations to identify the underlying causes of personal injury incidents.
• Collaborate with the Premises Liability and Security teams to ensure that expert investigative methodologies are applied consistently across North America.
• Create ongoing training programs for staff members.
• Engage with clients and deliver presentations.
• Partner with our fully staffed research laboratory to carry out studies focused on human safety.
• Design, implement, and oversee employee training related to the investigation of personal injury insurance claims and lawsuits to ensure adherence to current codes, standards, and scientific principles.
• Supervise all quality assurance activities related to premises liability and security consultation services.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate safety strategies that aim to minimize injuries to employees and/or visitors.
• Work alongside our Business Development and Marketing teams to promote our Premises Liability and Security services.
• Develop and manage research initiatives aimed at reducing accidents that cause injuries to the general public in our state-of-the-art pedestrian gait lab and research facility.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomechanics, Human Factors, or a related field in Human Safety.
• At least 10 years of experience in investigating pedestrian accidents, working in accident prevention, or conducting research pertinent to human safety.
• Extensive experience in conducting slip resistance testing, complying with ASTM and ANSI standards, and applying this knowledge to pedestrian safety.
• Comprehensive understanding of North American building and life safety regulations.
• Experience serving as an expert witness in legal proceedings.
• Additional consideration will be given to candidates with OSHA experience or training; previous roles in safety oversight or risk mitigation; possessing a CSP® certification; or, those who actively participate in recognized technical committees related to human safety.
• The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership abilities and the capacity to effectively motivate and guide teams. They should also be a self-driven individual capable of independent and remote work and comfortable speaking in public settings, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
