This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Create and execute predictive models utilizing advanced statistical and machine learning methods (e.g., regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks).
• Develop and sustain programs for predictor and response variables, ensuring the accuracy and scalability of models.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify their needs, convert them into analytical solutions, and clearly communicate actionable insights.
• Present analytical results to non-technical audiences, detailing methodologies, data sources, and business implications.
• Investigate, prepare, and organize large datasets (both internal and external) to facilitate model development and improvements.
• Contribute to the design and ongoing enhancement of modeling frameworks, processes, and best practices.
• Ensure data quality and model integrity through thorough validation and review protocols.
• Develop a solid understanding of the data landscape, including sourcing, mapping, and integrating data across various systems.
• Assist with enterprise data initiatives (e.g., data migration and transformation projects).
• Collaborate with and mentor junior analysts, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, especially in insurance analytics and predictive modeling.
• Over 6 years of experience in predictive analytics, data science, or a similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in insurance or pricing analytics is highly advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with SAS is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of:
• Predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Statistical analysis and data mining.
• Data preparation and feature engineering.
• Strong comprehension of data ecosystems and the ability to navigate complex data environments.
• Capability to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting analytical findings to diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience in contributing to or building analytics capabilities from the ground up is highly regarded.
