This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
β’ Act as a technical authority providing support for the development, implementation, and enhancement of precast refractory solutions for clients throughout North America.
β’ Collaborate with Sales teams to comprehend customer needs and suggest appropriate precast refractory solutions.
β’ Perform field measurements and evaluations to assist with mold design and fabrication tasks.
β’ Aid manufacturing processes associated with the creation of precast refractory components.
β’ Organize and oversee product trials at customer locations to assess performance and collect feedback.
β’ Identify opportunities to enhance product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and customer operations.
β’ Document, analyze, and relay product quality and performance findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
β’ Work together with R&D on new product development projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.
β’ Assist Operations with strategies related to product footprint, manufacturing transfers, and implementation efforts.
β’ Collaborate with Recycling teams to promote sustainability goals and initiatives related to the circular economy.
β’ Provide practical technical support in customer and manufacturing settings while ensuring adherence to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline is preferred.
β’ Relevant industry experience may be accepted as a substitute for a degree.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in refractories, steelmaking, heavy machinery, or a comparable industrial environment.
β’ Understanding of refractory materials, their applications, and steelmaking practices.
β’ Mechanical aptitude with the capability to assist equipment such as mixers, gunning machines, and related systems.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to present technical information to varied audiences.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft 365; experience with SAP is advantageous.
β’ Strong organizational abilities, self-driven, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively across various functions.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75%+) throughout North America.
β’ Ability to uphold compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.
