Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Execute ASIC/SoC emulation, pre-silicon validation, or verification tasks.

• Collaborate with Cadence Palladium emulation platforms.

• Oversee Palladium compilation and build processes, including advanced clocking, ICE, and VIF flows.

• Create transactors and reference models utilizing SystemC and C/C++.

• Employ Python, TCL, Perl, and Shell scripting in development.

• Conduct debugging using Lauterbach, JTAG, and Coresight/UltraSoC interfaces.

• Validate SoC architectures and standard protocols such as PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, AXI, USB, and SPI.

• May engage with additional emulation platforms, FPGA prototyping, UVM verification, networking ASICs, firmware validation, and embedded software bring-up.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in ASIC/SoC emulation, pre-silicon validation, or verification.

• Strong practical experience with Cadence Palladium XP, Z1, Z2, or Z3 platforms.

• Profound understanding of Palladium compilation and build flows, including advanced clocking, ICE, and VIF flows.

• RTL experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL is desirable.

• Proficient programming skills in SystemC and C/C++ for developing transactors and reference models.

• Expertise in Python, TCL, Perl, and Shell scripting.

• Familiarity with Lauterbach, JTAG, and Coresight/UltraSoC debugging tools and interfaces.

• Knowledge of ARM/x86 SoC architectures.

• Understanding of PCIe, DDR/LPDDR, AXI, USB, and SPI protocols.

• Experience with additional emulation platforms such as ZeBu, Veloce, or Protium is a plus.

• FPGA prototyping experience with HAPS or Xilinx is advantageous.

• Experience with UVM verification and simulation regression debugging is beneficial.

• Background in networking ASICs, Ethernet, RDMA, RoCE, or AI fabrics is a plus.

• Exposure to firmware validation and embedded software bring-up is advantageous.
