
Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer – Access Control, CCTV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver engineering design and support services for security solutions tailored to both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and conversions.
• Analyze Field Site Survey documentation and offer technical assistance for RFI/RFP submissions.
• Generate solution design documentation that includes drawings, BOMs, and summaries of the design.
• Offer technical support for both in-office and on-site team members.
• Assist management in creating documentation for the integration of new technologies with both new and existing customers.
• Stay updated on current and emerging electronic security technologies as well as industry-leading vendors.
• Evaluate architectural, electrical, telecommunication, and security engineering floor plans, riser drawings, device schedules, and detailed drawings.
• A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience in the industry.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; however, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
• Proficiency in designing and planning access control and video systems.
• Preferred qualifications include Professional Electronic Security Certifications or training (such as Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone, etc.).
• Capability to manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional presentation, writing, verbal, and written communication skills for customer interactions.
• Familiarity with computer applications like Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, or Revit is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of standard Electronic Security technologies (ACS, IDS, FDS, CCTV) as well as the associated computer software/hardware, databases, and networking infrastructure.
• Ability to assess architectural, electrical, telecommunication, security engineering floor plans, riser drawings, device schedules, and detailed drawings.
