Pre-Sales Consultant, Cybersecurity – Data Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Provide support to sales teams throughout the sales process as a technical authority.

• Assess customer requirements and pinpoint the most suitable solutions for their security and data protection issues.

• Conduct technical demonstrations, workshops, and presentations for technical audiences and decision-makers.

• Engage in tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and technical consultations.

• Design and assist in proofs of concept (PoC).

• Offer technical assistance during evaluation and integration stages.

• Collaborate with technology partners and internal departments.

• Aid in defining security architectures and making technical recommendations.

• Stay informed about market and technological advancements in cybersecurity.

• Assist in expanding the commercial presence throughout the Benelux region.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, or client-facing engineering role within IT or cybersecurity.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with both technical and business stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of cryptography, key management, digital certificates, TLS, encryption, and electronic signatures.

• Familiarity with cloud and virtualization platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).

• Understanding of databases and related monitoring, auditing, or security solutions.

• Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, incident management, and security operations is advantageous.

• Experience in scripting or software development is beneficial.

• Awareness of payment environments, PCI standards, or related technologies is a plus.

• Customer-focused mindset, analytical thinking, and a strong capacity for learning.

• Language proficiency: French (professional), English (fluent), Dutch (professional).
