Pre-Construction Manager – Data Centre

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee pre-construction tasks for data centre development projects from the initial phase to the commencement of construction.

• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams on planning and design progression.

• Assess architectural, civil, structural, and MEP designs to ensure they meet standards and requirements.

• Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, value engineering, and procurement strategy.

• Lead the tendering process, vendor assessments, and recommendations for contract awards.

• Recognize project risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and essential deliverables.

• Guarantee compliance with regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance.

• Conduct design reviews and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.

• Assistant Manager: 5–8 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction, or infrastructure.

• Manager: 8–12+ years of pertinent experience, including 3–5 years in data centre or mission-critical projects.

• Preferably experienced in data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale building projects.

• Familiarity with data centre infrastructure and MEP systems is essential.

• Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier standards and mission-critical environments is required.

• Experience in cost management, procurement, and contract administration is necessary.

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent are advantageous.
