Power Platform Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and upkeep of database solutions and application components according to specified designs.

• Aid in the rollout of internal APIs and ETL processes utilizing tools such as Power Automate, Python, and Azure Data Factory.

• Support the management of integrations with external APIs and the configuration of data security measures under the supervision of senior team members.

• Design, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Occasionally engage in front-end application development utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Assist in implementing analytics and AI features using AI Builder, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.

• Contribute to the team’s DevOps efforts by helping to manage and execute deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.

• Prepare and keep technical documentation updated for all implemented solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A strong understanding of the data science toolkit, including the distinctions between prediction and inference, various modeling techniques, and their respective tradeoffs. Familiarity with generative AI concepts and their practical uses.

• Skilled in Power BI for the creation, publication, and maintenance of complex reports and data models.

• Dataverse knowledge.

• Experience with Power Automate.

• Proficiency in Python (for scripting and testing).

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory.

• JavaScript / TypeScript experience (a plus).

• React knowledge (a plus).

• Understanding of concepts such as Security Roles (data access), OAuth (for external APIs), and Entra ID (for tool connections).

• Experience or exposure to AI Builder, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
