This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and launch canvas and model-driven Power Apps utilizing VA/VHA data.

• Architect Dataverse tables, establish relationships, implement business rules, create calculated/rollup columns, and assign security roles.

• Integrate applications with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server/Azure SQL, CDW, and other external data sources.

• Construct accessible Power Apps screens, forms, and views employing Power Fx.

• Create reusable components, component libraries, and PCF controls.

• Implement Power Platform ALM, governance, deployment pipelines, and source control practices.

• Develop and sustain Power Automate cloud flows for data migration, approvals, notifications, and process transitions.

• Create desktop flows/RPA for legacy or non-API systems.

• Design and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models leveraging CDW and VA data sources.

• Develop data models, DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.

• Configure RLS, gateways, refresh schedules, incremental refresh, workspaces, and deployment pipelines.

• Design and implement ETL/ELT ingestion and transformation pipelines into Dataverse, Azure SQL, and Power BI.

• Create and manage dataflows, Azure Data Factory, and/or SSIS pipelines.

• Develop dimensional and normalized data models.

• Execute data validation, reconciliation, quality checks, monitoring, and alerting processes.

• Collaborate directly with VA/VHA clinical, operational, financial, and administrative data as well as CDW.

• Empower analysts and engineers to utilize VA data assets through functional solutions and reference materials.

• Gather requirements, map business processes, and convert operational needs into app, flow, data model, and report designs.

• Conduct working sessions, demonstrations, and reviews with subject matter experts.

• Document solution logic, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, governance, and compliance protocols.

• Contribute reusable patterns, templates, best practices, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Support Agile or hybrid delivery methods aligned with iterative, sprint-based workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline.

• 4–6 years of experience in developing production solutions utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

• Proficient in hands-on Power Apps development involving Dataverse modeling, Power Fx, screen/form design, and data integrations.

• Demonstrated experience in hands-on Power Automate development, including the use of connectors, expressions, and error handling techniques.

• Proven hands-on Power BI development skills covering data modeling, DAX, Power Query, refresh processes, and report/dashboard delivery.

• Experience in data engineering, specifically in building ETL/ELT or data pipelines and data models.

• Strong understanding of relational databases along with proficiency in SQL.

• Familiarity with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and regulated data connectivity.

• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data quality practices, and solution documentation processes.

• Experience in process mapping, as-is/to-be workflows, and requirements gathering.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without the need for sponsorship.

• Capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Preferred qualifications include: a Master's degree, advanced expertise in Power Platform, experience with ALM at scale, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Synapse, Azure SQL, relevant certifications, VA/VHA or federal healthcare experience, CDW experience, BPMN/Lean/Six Sigma, data cataloging, and Agile delivery experience.
