• Lead the Novus business to enhance revenue and profitability, both in the short and long term for the designated region.
• This involves managing the SG&A and overall P&L while contributing to the Specialty Business Unit.
• Supervise the sales of Poultry products, manage sales accounts, optimize and oversee the customer base within the region, drive sales volume growth, and enhance profit margins for the poultry sector.
• Direct, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales and Technical Service Managers, participating as a key leader in the NORAM Commercial team across various species.
• Facilitate business development by identifying new market opportunities within the territory.
• Responsible for the formulation and implementation of sales plans for the region, contributing to the budgeting and business planning processes.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to support regional objectives.
• Cultivate customer partnerships and industry insights to effectively manage the sales territory, addressing challenges and decision-making influences while ensuring alignment with the business strategy.
• Oversee the preparation of forecast sales volumes for all products and channels in the assigned territory.
• Design and execute market strategies and tactics to foster the growth of product sales within the assigned territory.
• Ensure adherence to SFDC guidelines for the Sales Team, including engaging in monthly manager and support team reviews, maintaining an active and viable Opportunity Pipeline aligned with budgeted sales goals, and managing appropriate Contacts and follow-ups in active Campaigns.
• Provide marketing intelligence, proactively share distinctive selling tools, and take ownership of personal development.
• Ensure compliance with and adherence to the Novus Integrity System (NIS) along with all related policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Delegation of Authority, Credit Policies, Role Approval Policy, Travel and Expense Report Policy, and Sales Price Management Policy across the team.
• Represent Novus International professionally at all times by upholding the highest ethical standards.
• Advanced degree (MS/MBA) or a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of sales and/or marketing experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience overseeing a sales team.
• Preferably 5+ years of experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the animal protein (primarily Poultry) and food industries relevant to the assigned area.
• In-depth understanding of animal nutrition and health businesses pertinent to the assigned area.
• Recognized expertise within a specific geography and/or species by the industry.
• Proven capability to devise sales plans and accurate forecasts for the designated species or geography.
• Consistently achieves growth and margin within Novus or a comparable business setting.
• Extensive experience in implementing effective sales plans.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and react to the competitive landscape and emerging market opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM management tools such as SalesForce.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
• Fluent in English.
