Outage Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Develop and organize outage schedules, resources, EHS, tools, consumables, suppliers, and costs associated with outages.

• Assist in pre-and post-outage meetings with customers and internal GE teams, sharing lessons learned for enhancements.

• Plan and carry out mobilization and demobilization according to site and outage requirements.

• Oversee and monitor outage EHS (FME), quality, cost (JCE vs Actual), schedule (OTD), and productivity until closure to ensure Fulfilment-5 (EHS, Quality, Cost, OTD, Productivity) goals are met.

• Ensure the preparation, usage, review, storage, and delivery of outage documentation, including technical procedures, quality procedures, EHS, and customer outage reports.

• Manage the scope of work, assess site conditions, identify safety concerns, detect potential risks, and minimize cost impacts during site execution.

• Identify and carry out additional work to capitalize on business opportunities.

• Support the Customer Service Leader (CSL) and sales teams in technical communications with customers during outages.

• Actively strive to enhance and optimize existing processes while seeking opportunities for simplification.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the power generation sector.

• Extensive relevant experience and proven success/knowledge in steam turbine or generator maintenance.

• Specialized experience in planning and executing outages for steam turbine generators and auxiliary systems.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Strong project management and planning capabilities (experience with Primavera scheduling tool is preferred).

• Proficient in PC applications, including advanced skills in Excel and web applications.

• Solid technical and maintenance knowledge of steam turbines and generators.

• Strong leadership skills in dynamic, energetic, and complex customer site environments.

• Ability to work effectively under high pressure and time constraints, with a commitment to processes.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.

• Ability to influence stakeholders to meet customer and business requirements.
