This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
β’ Direct and oversee financial operations following patient treatment, encompassing insurance payments, patient payments, refunds, and medical record requests.
β’ Enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the payment posting procedure to guarantee that patient and insurance payments are accurately documented.
β’ Analyze workflows to pinpoint opportunities for minimizing manual tasks and processing delays.
β’ Shift insurance and patient payments from traditional paper checks to electronic bank payments wherever feasible.
β’ Manage the establishment of electronic payment agreements with payers that continue to send payments through the mail.
β’ Offer additional assistance to patients who have inquiries or issues regarding their bills, refunds, or insurance payments.
β’ Address escalated patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and clear explanations.
β’ Ensure that refund requests are examined, authorized, and processed accurately and promptly.
β’ Supervise and support teams that report directly to you, tasked with: Patient refunds, Payment posting, Charge entry, and Medical record requests.
β’ Collaborate with billing, insurance, and customer service teams to ensure precise claims processing and follow-up actions.
β’ Track performance metrics and introduce process enhancements to facilitate timely reimbursements.
β’ Prior experience in managing or supervising teams, ideally within a healthcare or medical billing setting.
β’ Strong expertise in medical insurance, healthcare billing, or financial operations within the healthcare sector.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of the complete healthcare revenue cycle, from the submission of insurance claims to final payments and patient billing.
β’ Exceptional de-escalation and communication skills when interacting with distressed or confused patients.
β’ Capability to articulate insurance payments, patient balances, and refunds in clear and straightforward terms.
β’ High attention to detail to guarantee the accurate processing of payments and claims.
β’ Proficient in reviewing processes, identifying challenges, and implementing enhancements.
β’ Ability to collaborate across teams and lead during periods of change.
