Post Closing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the resolution of issues identified by investors during the purchase review process.

• Investigate loan files and address any ambiguities or concerns raised by investors.

• Identify alternative solutions and seek investor exceptions as necessary.

• Collaborate with clients and relevant departments to gather additional or corrected documentation.

• Acquire daily suspense reports from investor platforms.

• Record suspense information and cure-by dates in the system.

• Examine closed loan files for suspense items.

• Log and upload suspense documentation to investor websites.

• Oversee daily condition reports and manage workload effectively.

• Inform management of any investor salability challenges.

• Track warehouse-line loan timelines and alert the Post Closing Manager about potential curtailment risks.

• Maintain a pipeline of shipped loans to ensure timely conditioning or purchase.

• Stay updated on agency and investor guidelines and overlays.

• Achieve monthly purchased-loan targets.

• Prepare and provide Post Consummation Closing Disclosures and refund checks as required.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or a relevant combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mortgage closing and/or post-closing processes.

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and investor guidelines for various loan programs.

• Strong attention to detail and effective decision-making abilities.

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
