Portfolio Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and assess legal documents, case filings, and supporting materials to guide underwriting and portfolio monitoring.

• Execute legal, factual, and background research, including identifying comparable cases and relevant updates.

• Assist in due diligence processes by assessing counterparties, legal claims, and associated risks.

• Organize, index, and manage case files, investment documentation, and internal records.

• Monitor significant case developments, deadlines, and portfolio performance across ongoing matters.

• Compose clear and concise summaries, memoranda, and internal reports detailing legal and investment insights.

• Work collaboratively across legal, underwriting, operations, and technology teams.

• Enhance process improvements, workflow management, and data organization throughout the portfolio.

• Provide general assistance on special projects related to legal analysis, compliance, and investment operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, History, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3–5+ years of pertinent experience, including Paralegal experience at an AmLaw 200 or similar firm.

• Roles in legal research, compliance, investigations, or litigation support.

• Proficient with legal research tools, including LexisNexis and Westlaw.

• Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities with a capacity to synthesize complex legal and financial data.

• Experience in reviewing legal documents and managing workflows related to cases.

• Exceptional attention to detail with robust organizational and document management capabilities.

• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Ability to collaborate efficiently across multidisciplinary teams.
