This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Services several customer locations along a designated route by delivering the following services: -Receive and stock purchased products at specified customer locations.
• Ensures adequate product stocking levels at customer sites by scanning orders as inventory diminishes.
• Supervise customer inventory locations to ensure proper labeling and accurate quantities on hand.
• Promptly and accurately resolve customer issues in a manner that fosters customer loyalty, in line with Grainger policies and procedures.
• Adhere to the safety and inspection standards of both Grainger and the facility where services are provided.
• Achieve defined KPIs for the position.
• Engage in Non-Route Based Activities as needed, such as: performing machine break/fix tasks for various machines at the customer's site.
• Implement territory work that involves planning and executing customer inventory projects.
• Conduct data collection (related to inventory information) at customer locations.
• Ensure accurate information is gathered to guide the KeepStock implementation process.
• Assist customers with staging, labeling, and organizing products at their site.
• Complete the product relocation and discontinuation process.
• Travel as required for assigned Branch Responsibilities.
• Help generate new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs (e.g., seeking and capturing “spot buy” opportunities while on site, exploring additional opportunities to expand program items).
• Execute the onsite service component of account strategy as outlined by cross-functional business partners.
• Collaborate with sales partners to enhance customer experience and boost business growth.
• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years of experience in customer service/selling (i.e., Retail / telephone / warehouse) environments.
• Self-motivated, with high energy and a commitment to customer service and sales growth.
• Must be comfortable with daily technology use.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with tact and diplomacy with both internal and external customers as well as cross-functional partners.
• Proven ability to exercise strong judgment, independent problem-solving skills, and understanding of Grainger’s Core Value Proposition.
• Capable of handling various technical and operational challenges.
• Function effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Background checks and drug screening may be necessary (as required by Company or customer policies for on-site work and/or equipment operation).
• May need to use a personal vehicle for transportation with valid insurance that meets Grainger’s standards.
• The role may necessitate attendance at customer sites and compliance with safety regulations in accordance with applicable health and safety laws, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at specific customer locations.
