This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage the Management Accountant team effectively.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and development for direct reports, focusing on mentorship and team enhancement.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts within strict deadlines for various Vesta companies.
• Analyze variances against benchmarks, investigate discrepancies, and address potential issues with non-financial department heads.
• Lead multiple projects, including enhancements to processes and systems.
• Maintain and update Excel-based reconciliation/support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Assist and challenge business heads during the Group’s Quarterly Strategic Review process (forecasting).
• Prepare regular financial statements, supporting schedules, tax computations, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyze and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, advising on business implications and making suitable recommendations.
• Participate in ongoing process development and transformation initiatives to enhance business efficiency and profitability.
• Create a continuous improvement framework to ensure that efficiencies are implemented and adopted by all team members and, when applicable, the broader organization.
• Serve as a Business Partner in all facets of the role.
• Gather data and analyses to support business decision-making.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and Corporation tax documentation.
• Contribute to the achievement of the overall corporate strategy.
• Assist with acquisition-related activities, including the integration of personnel, systems, processes, and accounting entries related to acquisitions.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification is essential.
• Must possess people management experience.
• Proven track record in building effective teams and fostering a positive culture is required.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis capabilities are necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with Microsoft Office programs are required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, change-oriented culture is essential.
• Experience in a multinational environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferred.
• Project management skills are desirable.
• A mindset geared towards innovation and continuous improvement of processes and systems is necessary.
• Experience in the software or high-tech industry would be a plus.
