• Take charge of preparing and reviewing all deliverables related to portfolio month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, which include cash flow statements, dividend declarations, as well as earnout/holdback calculations and payments.
• Oversee the treasury function, which involves reporting monthly cash requirements, managing banking operations, and reconciling debt and contingent considerations, while ensuring accurate visibility of cash at the portfolio level at all times.
• Proactively discover and implement automation opportunities using AI within the controllership and treasury functions to minimize manual processing time and allow for more high-value analytical tasks.
• Direct the intercompany reconciliation and recharges process for all entities, ensuring that balances are correctly allocated and resolved.
• Uphold and enforce the internal controls framework and Risk Control Matrix for the portfolio; manage both internal and external audit processes.
• Keep the Employee Authorisations and Approval Matrices up to date across the portfolio; ensure that banking administration is current and all signatories are properly maintained.
• Coordinate tax compliance obligations as necessary, particularly regarding transfer pricing arrangements; consult with external advisors when needed.
• Assist with acquisition integration from a technical accounting viewpoint, including adherence to step plans, revenue recognition checklists, and PPA model reviews.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with finance leads of different entities; provide technical accounting guidance and policy clarification without fostering dependency or infringing on the autonomy of entities.
• A CPA, CA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory.
• Proficient in advanced Excel; demonstrated experience with AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, or similar) for automating finance workflows; familiarity with Python or Power Query is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of IFRS technical standards, particularly IFRS 15 (revenue recognition), IFRS 16 (leases), and IFRS 3 (business combinations/PPA); experience in consolidation accounting is crucial.
• Preferred hands-on experience with OneStream and Great Plains.
• Capability to perform well under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• High level of integrity and personal ethics, given the sensitive nature of the issues and information involved in this role.
• A proactive approach to improving processes and systems rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours as necessary.
