Portfolio Analytics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to develop robust portfolio intelligence tools and analytics components.

• Analyze performance, risk, and attribution at both portfolio and security levels.

• Break down returns to pinpoint key drivers of alpha, beta, and idiosyncratic outcomes.

• Conduct research on markets, macroeconomic factors, and specific securities to enhance client workflows and provide product insights.

• Validate, interpret, and effectively communicate financial metrics to internal stakeholders and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in a front-office financial position (investment banking, hedge fund, asset management, or similar).

• Outstanding analytical and Excel capabilities, with strong expertise in financial modeling and interpreting extensive datasets.

• Profound understanding of fundamental investment concepts: portfolio theory, risk attribution, yield, drawdown, correlation, and volatility.

• Excellent communication skills with institutional clients—including portfolio managers, analysts, CIOs, and risk managers—capable of translating complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.

• Proven strong interest in financial markets, investment strategies, and institutional workflows.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, remote environment.

• Familiarity with institutional investment processes, research platforms, and financial data tools.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top-ranked university in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

• First-Class Honours degree (or international equivalent) is required.

• CFA, FRM, or MBA is a significant advantage.

• Experience with tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or data programming languages (Python, R) is a plus.
