This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of episodes from initial concept to final publication. This involves conducting research, scheduling bookings, recording, producing the episode, and collaborating with the sound engineer on final edits and mixes.
• Direct and oversee all talent (commentators, guests), ensuring that everyone is well-informed about the overall vision for each segment and episode.
• Continuously generate timely and insightful segment/interview ideas that align with CT’s Declaration of Principles.
• Moderate recorded discussions with commentators and guests, including occasional 1:1 interviews.
• Partner with Marketing and Advertising to broaden the reach of Bulletin content across various CT platforms.
• Supervise the content and growth of The Bulletin substack account to enhance audience engagement.
• Build a roster of premier guest commentators to elevate the show's credibility.
• Work closely with the host, scripting and refining questions, preparing them for recording sessions, and directing in Riverside.
• Mentor CT editors to adapt their written pieces into engaging audio episodes.
• Contribute to programming strategy by identifying potential episode ideas and experimenting with formats that can deepen listener loyalty and expand the show's possibilities.
• Facilitate a weekly schedule of post-mortem meetings and writer’s room sessions for content development and ongoing show enhancement.
• Meet weekly with the associate producer to review show lineups, assess progress, and conduct long-term planning.
• Maintain a production spreadsheet that includes show summaries, episode text, production schedules (air dates), and booking details.
• Collaborate with the data analyst and production team to ensure episode metrics are captured and documented for every episode.
• Conduct monthly team business meetings to evaluate show metrics, team objectives, marketing, advertising, and special projects.
• Work alongside the Coordinating Producer to manage a healthy show budget.
• Execute additional job-related duties as assigned.
• Over 5 years of experience in podcast production.
• Proven experience and skills in booking high-profile guests.
• Experience in creating content for both visual and written media.
• Strong understanding of current events and a biblical worldview.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and collaborate with teams across different geographical locations.
• Skill in developing and nurturing strong, relevant partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication abilities.
• Outstanding writing and communication skills.
• Capability to work independently.
