Pod Lead – Scientific Computing, Research Engineering – Earth Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bangladesh.

📋 Description

• Contribute to an advanced initiative focused on AI training and evaluation for scientific and research purposes.

• Create and validate realistic, challenging, and objectively assessable terminal-based scientific tasks.

• Develop scientific workflows that encompass climate science, atmospheric processes, geophysics, oceanography, geology, hydrology, remote sensing, and environmental modeling.

• Lead task development as the Pod Lead.

• Uphold scientific and technical quality standards.

• Ensure computational tasks are reflective of genuine research challenges.

• Review and analyze educational content, research inquiries, datasets, logical puzzles, and academic scenarios.

• Utilize credible online sources to verify assertions and validate information.

• Distill extensive information into clear, structured explanations.

• Assess AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, relevance, completeness, clarity, and logical consistency.

• Identify inaccuracies, provide constructive feedback, and clarify the reasoning behind suggested improvements.

• Review conversation histories related to learning, academic work, exam preparation, research, projects, and skill development.

• Create analytical examples, annotations, and evaluation scenarios aimed at enhancing AI model performance.

• Employ critical thinking, creativity, and lateral reasoning to tackle unfamiliar questions and intricate analytical tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a degree program.

• Proficient fluency in U.S. English (en-US), including reading comprehension, grammar, and written communication skills.

• An active, previously established Gemini App account with at least 18 months of conversation history.

• At least 10 distinct conversations pertaining to education, learning, academics, exam preparation, research, projects, or skill development.

• Capability to provide an exported JSON file that includes the required conversation history for review.

• Strong analytical, research, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to critically evaluate information and deliver detailed, evidence-based explanations.

• Attention to detail and capacity to work independently in a remote setting.

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in business analysis, research, writing, editing, translation, journalism, or content evaluation is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and other productivity applications is preferred.

• Ability to interpret data, conduct basic arithmetic, and identify trends and relationships is preferred.

• Experience with AI tools for research, information analysis, or content evaluation is preferred.

• Strong documentation skills and the ability to convey findings in a clear, structured format are preferred.

• Must maintain a valid Gemini App account that was established prior to applying.

• The account must have at least 18 months of conversation history and a minimum of 10 relevant educational conversations.

• Must submit an exported JSON file containing the required conversation history.

• Candidates may redact personal information and individual chats from the exported JSON file before submission.

• Creating a new account solely for participation does not satisfy eligibility criteria.

• Must complete the initial interest check form.

• Must complete the required Google Forms assessment.

• Must undergo the final Delivery Manager review.

• Minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Pacific Time (PST).
