PL/SQL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), encompassing analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support.

• Design, develop, and maintain applications within the Oracle database utilizing PL/SQL.

• Create and support solutions using Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and application designs.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain intricate SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, triggers, and functions.

• Conduct unit testing and assist with system integration testing activities.

• Diagnose, identify, and rectify application defects and performance challenges.

• Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams to implement application enhancements and new features.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, design specifications, and development standards.

• Assist in application deployment activities and troubleshoot post-implementation issues.

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring compliance with development best practices.

• Contribute to database performance tuning and optimization efforts.

• Provide support for existing Oracle applications and suggest improvements to boost efficiency and maintainability.

• Stay updated with emerging Oracle technologies and development methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 2 years of experience in developing applications with Oracle technologies.

• Solid experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

• Practical experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.

• Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and database objects.

• Experience supporting all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Background in application analysis, design, development, and unit testing.

• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

• Demonstrated creativity and adaptability in problem-solving.

• Ability to collaborate with clients to understand their requirements.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Professional demeanor.

• Preferred: experience in developing applications with Oracle APEX.

• Preferred: experience in modernizing legacy Oracle Forms and Reports applications.

• Preferred: experience in integrating Oracle applications with external systems and APIs.
