Player Experience – Community Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement strategies for owned social media and community platforms.

• Create player engagement initiatives to nurture a sustainable community.

• Generate social media content, compose copy, and spearhead asset ideation and production.

• Oversee and address player inquiries.

• Identify, establish, and sustain internal relationships with content creators.

• Offer direct support and/or manage external resources for creators interacting with our game.

• Develop a customer service framework that includes onboarding and managing a BPO and customer service tools.

• Create and update a customer service run book that details protocols, roles, responsibilities, and escalation procedures.

• Maintain a knowledge hub for both internal and external use.

• Compose and distribute newsletters and tailored marketing emails.

• Define and track KPIs, report on player sentiment, and provide recommendations to enhance engagement across all ownership areas.

• Support playtesting initiatives, including onboarding play testers, managing virtual and IRL technical setups, and addressing other operational needs as they arise.

• Collaborate with the wider marketing team on campaign development, research, competitive analysis, and copywriting.

• Perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a video game community management role.

• Proven track record of shipping at least 2 games on PC and console in a community management capacity.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Extensive knowledge of online and IRL gaming communities, particularly for single-player games, and familiarity with indie developer communication styles.

• Fundamental understanding of Adobe Photoshop.

• Must possess eligibility to work in the U.S.
