Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, automate, and uphold the internal platforms, infrastructure, tools, and delivery pipelines.

• Enhance and refine internal platform services, automate provisioning and configuration, and assist in virtualization and infrastructure lifecycle management.

• Deploy, oversee, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments.

• Maintain Helm charts, manifests, and deployment automation processes.

• Provide support for Docker, Swarm, and Podman workloads.

• Create Ansible playbooks and implement Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Support infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Assist with incident response and conduct root cause analysis.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, QE, Managed Services, Support, and Product teams.

• Maintain and update technical documentation.

• Engage in technical reviews and drive continuous improvement efforts.

• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support internal platforms and critical infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Proficiency in Ansible automation.

• Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD and release pipelines.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar workflow platforms.

• Strong skills in Linux administration and troubleshooting.

• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first environment.

• Willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and respond to production incidents as needed.

• Experience in developing automation tools, APIs, operators, or platform services in Go (Desirable).

• Familiarity with Docker Swarm and/or Podman (Desirable).

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms (Desirable).

• Knowledge of Proxmox or other virtualization platforms (Desirable).

• Experience in creating VM templates and golden images (Desirable).

• Familiarity with Terraform/OpenTofu (Desirable).

• Experience with Portainer (Desirable).
