Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated processes for infrastructure provisioning and deployment utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks.

• Collaborate with various teams to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Advocate for and implement best practices in CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and configuration in partnership with development and operations teams.

• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance system reliability, availability, and performance.

• Engage in incident response, conduct post-mortems, and perform root cause analysis to avert future incidents.

• Implement proactive strategies to identify and mitigate potential reliability and performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate closely with teams across software development, operations, and quality assurance to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Communicate clearly with team members, stakeholders, and management regarding project updates and challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

• Strong proficiency in Golang or Python for the development of infrastructure-related tools and applications.

• Practical experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

• Solid grasp of networking concepts and protocols.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.

• Understanding of security best practices regarding infrastructure and application deployment.

• Minimum of 6 years of overall experience is required.
