Platform Engineer – AI, Cloud, eCommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and develop cloud-native services and platform features utilizing Java and AWS.

• Prototype and implement AI-driven solutions using AWS Bedrock and contemporary LLMs.

• Enhance engineering efficiency through automation and AI-supported development.

• Collaborate with architecture and product teams to address intricate commerce challenges.

• Assist in managing and optimizing Akamai/CDN and edge capabilities.

• Develop integrations using APIs, serverless services, and event-driven architectures.

• Investigate emerging AI technologies and suggest practical implementation strategies.

• Contribute code on a daily basis and mentor engineers through demonstrated practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in Java engineering.

• Proven experience in building applications on AWS.

• Background in eCommerce or other high-scale customer-facing platforms.

• A strong desire to learn new technologies quickly.

• Experience in developing APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services.

• Familiarity with creating POCs or technical prototypes.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership.

• Over 3 years of software engineering experience.

• Comfortable in independently building POCs.

• Knowledge of Amazon Bedrock or other Generative AI platforms.

• Preferred: Extensive experience with Amazon Bedrock.

• Preferred: Familiarity with agentic development workflows.

• Preferred: Experience with Akamai/CDN technologies.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP Commerce or Shopify.

• Preferred: Background in Angular or Spartacus.
