This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Ensure that high standards of health and safety are maintained across all facilities.
• Oversee daily operations in three plants (two large and one small).
• Guarantee that production plans are fulfilled in accordance with business objectives (volume, yield, quality, and service levels).
• Promote adherence to ofi operational standards at all locations.
• Ensure full compliance with EHS standards, local laws, and ofi policies.
• Foster a robust safety culture across all plants, encouraging a zero harm mindset.
• Lead risk assessments and ensure the prompt resolution of safety CAPAs.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, BRC/ISO where applicable).
• Maintain consistency in product quality for dehydrated items (onion, garlic, herbs).
• Assist the team in root cause analysis and corrective measures for quality deviations and customer complaints.
• Oversee plant budgets and manage manufacturing costs effectively.
• Enhance yield, productivity, and energy efficiency in drying, slicing, and processing operations.
• Identify and implement initiatives for cost savings and value engineering.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives that align with plant maturity and business priorities.
• Monitor and report on KPIs: production output & efficiency, yield and losses, quality metrics (complaints, micro, foreign matter, etc.).
• Present updates on plant performance to senior management.
• Build and lead a high-performing team across multiple sites.
• Enhance the capabilities of frontline and middle management.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• 12–15 years of experience in food manufacturing, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior plant leadership position.
• Significant experience in dehydration processes, ideally within the onion, garlic, herbs, or spices sectors.
• Proven track record of managing multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement frameworks.
