πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Engages with potential donors to solicit and document bequest intentions and beneficiary designations within the designated region for the Planned Giving team;

β€’ Follows up on marketing initiatives, individual inquiries, and personal outreach efforts to cultivate leads and establish contacts for solicitation;

β€’ Provides stewardship to Humane Legacy supporters within the assigned area, focusing on individuals with high gift commitments and substantial net worth;

β€’ Promotes, solicits, and secures Charitable Gift Annuities;

β€’ Generates revenue to achieve established fundraising goals through outright annual contributions from a designated portfolio of donors. Aids donors in utilizing methods such as IRA rollovers, stock and mutual fund donations, and contributions of non-cash assets;

β€’ Stays informed about accomplishments, successes, and updates within the organization and among its affiliates to ensure the provision of comprehensive, accurate, and specific information to donors and prospects. Collaborates and fosters relationships with colleagues;

β€’ Remains knowledgeable about trends relevant to technical expertise and tax regulations regarding charitable gift planning;

β€’ Executes additional duties or responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

β€’ A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in development, donor engagement, or a similar field is required.

β€’ Familiarity with planned gift models and software, such as PG Calc, is preferred.

β€’ Knowledge of moves management and CRM database systems is preferred.

β€’ Demonstrated leadership abilities in a professional environment.

β€’ Adaptable, eager to learn, and anticipates the needs of oneself and team members.

β€’ Capable of establishing a positive atmosphere for employees throughout their workday.

β€’ Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines; possesses high energy, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.

β€’ Proficient in managing issues that necessitate problem-solving and conflict resolution, with exceptional interpersonal and intervention skills.

β€’ Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

β€’ Understanding of business operations, including effective budget development and management practices.

β€’ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, evidenced by the delivery of high-quality and timely results.

β€’ Willingness and ability to travel as required.

β€’ A strong passion for animal protection issues is preferred.
