This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate research questions proposed by the AI Physicist’s Question Formulator (QF)
• Assist in determining the validity of the system’s reasoning
• Play a role in defining the characteristics of 'high-quality AI-generated physics'
• Offer insights on assumptions, scope, and context
• Aid in enhancing the criteria by which questions are prioritized based on novelty, complexity, originality, tractability, and scientific significance
• Analyze AI-generated research outputs to ensure they are internally coherent, mathematically robust, well-supported by relevant literature, and consistent with established physical theories
• Detect inaccuracies, omissions, or ambiguous reasoning
• Assist in pinpointing deficiencies in the AI Physicist’s scientific processes
• Experience in quantum information theory, quantum error correction (QEC), or closely related fields
• Possess a solid theoretical and mathematical foundation
• Exhibit curiosity while maintaining a healthy skepticism towards AI-assisted research
• Appreciate rigor, clarity, and intellectual integrity
• Be comfortable working with exploratory and incomplete findings
• Typical profiles include:
• Late-stage PhD candidates
• Postdoctoral fellows
• Early-career faculty members
• Industry researchers with strong theoretical expertise
