Physician, Virtual Care – Evenings/Weekends, IMLC Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding, AI-enhanced medical care.

• Engage with patients in acute, primary, and longevity care through messaging: diagnose, treat, triage, and follow up.

• Collaborate with Counsel's AI as if it were a knowledgeable colleague that has already reviewed the patient's chart: it prepares the history, refines the differential diagnosis, and drafts the communication. You provide the critical human judgment and focus on the patient.

• Maintain a high standard for every interaction: prioritize clinical reasoning, safety, and patient communication.

• Remain a generalist, which involves addressing relevant clinical issues directly and guiding patients to appropriate resources within the healthcare system when needed.

• Elevate the performance of the clinical team.

• Partner with the CMO and VP of Care Delivery to establish guidelines, conduct peer reviews, and develop clinical systems that ensure safe care as the team expands.

• Mentor less experienced clinicians; share effective strategies; elevate standards without drawing attention to yourself.

• Influence the tools utilized in practice.

• Counsel operates on a fundamental principle: clinicians take precedence, followed by technologists. Those designing your practice environment welcome your feedback, instincts, and preferences.

• A process that frustrates you this week can be improved shortly. A desired tool can be delivered to you within months.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, with membership in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) and possession of an IMLC Letter of Qualification.

• Over 3 years of post-residency clinical experience (urgent care, ER, primary care, or a robust generalist background).

• Genuine passion for acute, primary, and longevity care.

• Ability to work effectively in a completely virtual, asynchronous, messaging-based environment.

• Excellent written communication skills, as most patient interactions occur in writing.

• Bonus points for:

• Active medical licenses in CA, FL, and/or NY!

• Previous experience in telehealth, virtual-first, or direct-to-consumer healthcare.

• Experience integrating longevity practices into clinical care.

• A well-informed perspective on AI in clinical practice - you have utilized these tools and developed insights.

• Background in a fast-paced acute environment (ER, urgent care) where triage skills are instinctive.
