This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +4 more states.
• The Physician Program Director (PPD) is dedicated to creating formal Impella programs by building sustainable relationships with account stakeholders and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the hemodynamic support sector.
• Cultivate and oversee strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, thought leaders, and subject matter experts to align with the organization’s scientific, medical, and commercial objectives.
• Facilitate effective engagement, collaboration, and communication between the company and its network of experts to bolster brand credibility, education, and innovation.
• Represent all facets of Abiomed and serve as a field liaison to connect hospitals with internal resources, including the medical office, research, marketing, and executive teams.
• Work alongside hospitals and hospital administrators to pinpoint areas for program efficiencies through the implementation of best practices, protocol development, and workflow enhancements, ensuring the long-term viability of programs.
• Identify gaps in programs and coordinate internal resources as needed to meet the hospitals' objectives.
• Partner with systems of care and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) to facilitate the adoption of best practices across the hospitals within the network.
• BA/BS degree is required.
• MBS or MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 successful years of sales experience with Abiomed OR over 7 years of related industry sales experience demonstrating proven success.
• Previous experience managing KOLs or existing relationships in the designated geographic area.
• Prior collaborative experience with C-Suite hospital administrators.
• Experience partnering with leaders of IDNs or systems of care.
• Must be willing to travel extensively overnight (70% depending on geography).
• Strong knowledge of US healthcare policy and payment systems, including hospital and physician reimbursement.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with experience in cultivating relationships across all organizational levels to achieve business objectives.
• Ability to integrate strategic thinking with detailed planning and robust tactical execution.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Proven ability to effectively manage projects and drive initiatives to fruition.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
• Mastery of cardiac anatomy and clinical data.
• Proficient computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, documentation, and presentations.
