Physical AI Field Applications Engineer – UR, MiR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical resource for the sales team in the Bay Area.

• Collaborate with Account Managers to assess opportunities and enhance sales through technical know-how.

• Conduct customer discovery sessions and translate requirements into UR/MiR solutions.

• Provide demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept experiences.

• Create ROI analyses, proposals, and solution recommendations.

• Lead customers and partners through design reviews, pilot projects, and scaling processes.

• Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, and hands-on sessions.

• Assist with proof-of-concept and pilot implementations at significant customer locations.

• Aid in designing systems utilizing UR/MiR hardware, sensors, perception, and AI technologies.

• Diagnose robotic performance challenges during both pre-sale and post-sale interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred for candidates with extensive AI/ML robotics research experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical position such as Field Applications, Solutions, Pre-Sales, or Technical Account Management in the fields of robotics, automation, or AI.

• Capability to collaborate with sales teams to boost revenue through technical expertise.

• Practical experience with ROS/ROS2 for robot application development and integration.

• Background in designing or integrating perception, manipulation, or mobile robot systems using sensors and AI inference pipelines.

• Proficient in Python; familiarity with C++ is an advantage.

• Openness to travel within the Bay Area and occasionally on a national level.
