Pharmacy Technician, Wednesday-Sunday 11:30AM-8PM ET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Receive electronic prescriptions, weekly batches, and refill requests, accurately filling prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist.

• Handle, count, mix, and package medications efficiently.

• Make minor adjustments to correct dispensing quantities and manufacturer NDCs.

• Execute reclamation duties as needed.

• Utilize pharmacy software to verify and record prescription data.

• Act as a liaison between customers, providers, and the pharmacy.

• Receive and triage incoming calls and messages to address inquiries, fulfill prescription orders, and manage requests.

• Establish and maintain patient profiles and medication lists effectively.

• Document medication care plans using proprietary software.

• Support compliance, efficiency, and the overall quality of pharmacy operations.

• Participate in quality initiatives and report any quality assurance issues.

• Safeguard information in accordance with company privacy and security guidelines and HIPAA regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.

• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the relevant State Board of Pharmacy.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail environment.

• Proficient in the MS Office Suite.

• Strong computer skills, particularly in navigating proprietary and other software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, particularly over the phone.

• Capability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, clients, and agency representatives.

• A strong patient-centered focus.

• Understanding of clinical terminology and its implications.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities without compromising quality.
