Pharmacy Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer daily pharmacy program expertise for the National Employee Benefits group

• Assist in new business initiatives and support consulting projects for both prospects and clients

• Act as the pharmacy subject matter expert in collaboration with health benefit consultants

• Formulate client strategies and prepare deliverables for clients

• Cultivate client relationships and function as a trusted advisor

• Analyze Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) contracts and financial assessments

• Create pricing models to assess client proposals

• Engage in client conference calls and meetings

• Inform regional staff on pharmacy-related topics and pinpoint sales opportunities

• Examine pharmacy reports and detect trends relative to benchmarks

• Contribute to the development of new tools and products based on pharmacy best practices, market trends, and available offerings

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of agency management system data

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience

• More than 8 years of recent relevant experience in a consulting firm or PBM, or in actuarial, underwriting, pricing, account management, or consulting within a Health & Welfare consulting/brokerage firm, PBM, or health insurance carrier

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization capabilities

• Outstanding problem-solving and time-management skills

• Capacity to devise execution plans for large, intricate projects

• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity

• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with consultants who have demanding travel schedules

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience working with large data sets in Excel, Access, or other data manipulation software is advantageous
