Pharmacy Technician Supervisor – Prior Authorization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage a team of pharmacy technicians responsible for the complete prior authorization and financial assistance processes.

• Monitor service levels, perform audits, manage workflows, review productivity metrics, and provide continuous feedback along with performance management.

• Oversee daily operations, which include scheduling, timekeeping, workload distribution, and planning for coverage.

• Collaborate with hospital stakeholders, clinical teams, and internal departments.

• Facilitate meetings, communicate updates, and present opportunities for enhancing operations.

• Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development efforts.

• Ensure confidentiality and compliance while supporting both remote and onsite team members.

• Travel up to 20% as necessary to fulfill business and operational requirements.

• Analyze team performance, generate and interpret reports, identify trends, and communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the state of employment.

• National certification as a CPhT is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician is essential.

• Leadership experience in healthcare or pharmacy is necessary.

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Possess a strong executive presence and the ability to build relationships.

• Capable of navigating complex situations, exercising sound judgment, and achieving results through collaboration.

• Ability to identify operational trends and suggest process enhancements.

• Strong project management capabilities are required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

• Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems and electronic medical records (EMRs) is required.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and phone communication skills are necessary.

• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage, and web-based platforms.

• Data entry and computer skills will be assessed prior to employment.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.
