Pharmacy Technician – Prior Authorizations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with insurance providers to secure medication approvals.

• Utilize pharmacy software to input data, execute test claims, and oversee follow-up activities.

• Record patient requirements, authorization progress, and assistance efforts throughout systems and EMRs.

• Liaise with prescribers to guarantee accurate and suitable prescriptions.

• Keep comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions.

• Support patients with insurance claims and medication adherence via telephone communication.

• Work alongside pharmacists and liaisons to enhance coordinated patient care.

• Conduct research to provide insights for decisions and operational enhancements.

• Oversee and refresh data in pertinent databases.

• Recognize challenges, suggest solutions, and engage in process improvement efforts.

• Uphold confidentiality and commit to continuous professional growth.

• Execute additional responsibilities as required; some travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• State-registered Pharmacy Technician in Arizona; CPhT certification is mandatory.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician; High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and technical skills.
