Pharmacy Technician Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provides leadership and coordination for workflows and process enhancements within a specialized operational area that encompasses multiple ministries.

• Executes daily services and functions of the specialized role across various ministries or within a centralized service model.

• Engages in a matrix structure that involves understanding multiple workflows for different sites, traveling, managing matrix relationships, and collaborating with team members and ministries to prioritize and efficiently accomplish tasks.

• Addresses issues in the specialized area as they arise.

• Ensures that documents and records are accurate and completed promptly.

• Acts as a resource in the specialized area for other regional, system, and/or external stakeholders.

• Resolves complex issues that may affect more than one ministry and ensures that problems are escalated and resolved as necessary.

• Adheres to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

• Stays updated with changes in the specialized field and collaborates with department leadership to implement best practices.

• Mentors team members across multiple ministries when practice standards are not adhered to.

• Conducts evaluations and audits of the specialized area.

• Reports and tracks KPIs to ensure optimal performance.

• Identifies quality improvement opportunities based on specialized skills to guarantee safe, effective, and efficient services and patient care.

• Establishes system standardization and leads the implementation of operational changes and advancements.

• Participates in regional or system specialized work teams, committees, and councils.

• Collaborates with regional or system leaders to develop and coordinate team member education, training, orientation, and competency.

• Trains other team members in the specialized area.

• Prepares and distributes work schedules and provides cross-coverage for the specialty area as assigned.

• Acts as the multi-ministry or regional liaison to regional or system pharmacy teams in the specialty area.

• Works with leadership to communicate changes in the specialty area.

• Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, other staff, and ancillary departments while maintaining high standards of confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of relevant work experience.

• Three years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related healthcare field.

• State of Work Location: Illinois - Pharmacy Technician, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) or FUTURE - Pharmacy Technician, Registered within 2 months - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and IL Registration Application Process Complete At Time Of Hire - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

• State of Work Location: Missouri - Pharmacy Technician - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or MO Registration Application and Finger Print Process Complete AT TIME OF HIRE - Missouri Division of Professional Registration and FUTURE - Pharmacy Technician, Registered within 6 months - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.

• State of Work Location: Wisconsin - Pharmacy Technician, Registered - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or WI Registration Application Number (PAR) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services and FUTURE - Pharmacy Technician, Registered within 6 Months - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
