Pharmacy Sales Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Meet annual budget targets for the designated sales territory.

• Develop a comprehensive business strategy to enhance both short- and long-term performance in the territory.

• Oversee the implementation of a consultative sales approach from qualification through contract negotiations for all opportunities within the assigned territory.

• Create a strong opportunity pipeline through organic means (cold calling) and coordinated efforts.

• Prepare for and actively contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of McKesson products and services, utilizing insights from our pharmacy partners.

• Offer customers marketing guidance, financial analysis for planning, managed care details, competitive intelligence, and profit-enhancing opportunities through sales methodologies and programs that highlight the advantages of the company's products/services/technologies.

• Craft sales proposals, business reviews, product and service presentations, product demonstrations, merchandising strategies, and sales promotions to expand existing business or acquire new accounts.

• Maintain a strong focus on fostering robust relationships with key customers to establish and uphold the credibility necessary for long-term business retention.

• Deliver problem-solving and troubleshooting support to customers while servicing existing accounts in collaboration with other departments.

• Engage in sales team presentations when suitable to further business growth opportunities, enhance selling skills, and increase understanding of the customer base.

• Keep current, detailed, and accurate data in Salesforce.com CRM, providing real-time, precise sales forecasts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

• A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business management, or a healthcare-related field is preferred, or equivalent experience is acceptable.

• At least 4 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success in achieving and exceeding sales objectives.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Medical and/or Pharmacy field.

• A minimum of 4 years of B2B field sales experience.

• Experience in the retail/distribution, healthcare delivery, pharmacy, community pharmacy, benefits, or insurance sectors is advantageous and preferred.

• Proficient in using a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce, ACT).

• Proficient with the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).

• A consultative sales approach to identify customer requirements.

• Must possess authorization to work in the US without restrictions – this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
