Pharmacy Refill Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Join our team to oversee and enhance patient adherence to their medication.

• Engage positively with clients and/or caregivers to collect information regarding prescribed medications.

• Responsible for data gathering and analyzing results to showcase outcomes.

• Work alongside the core pharmacy and clinical team in a unique Pharmacy Technician capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician credential in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy before the hire date.

• At least 5 years of experience in retail or hospital settings as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in medication reconciliation is essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary.

• Familiarity with patient financial assistance programs and patient advocacy is preferred.

• Bilingual candidates (Spanish proficiency) are encouraged to apply.

• Capability to comprehend and navigate EMR platforms is required.

• Conducts interviews with patients and/or family members to gather and document information about newly prescribed medications and adherence to their treatment regimen, including reporting of side effects or instances of nonadherence.

• Manages medication information from clients and communicates relevant details to the appropriate clinical staff.

• Develops processes to improve efficiency within the clinic system.

• Partners with the Pharmacy Director to collect data and create metrics that demonstrate outcomes, along with other tasks as needed.

• Engages in special projects and performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
