This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Pharmacy Clinical Account Managers and/or Pharmacy Account Executives.
• Direct pharmacy strategy for the designated market in alignment with both corporate and local goals.
• Create and implement market-specific pharmacy business and service plans to achieve financial objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Medical Sales leadership to support integrated sales and retention approaches.
• Act as the market's pharmacy subject matter expert for clients, brokers, and consultants.
• Maintain the assigned book of business through proactive portfolio management and expertise in PBM pricing.
• Facilitate new sales and renewals by leading pharmacy RFPs, pricing negotiations, and finalist strategies.
• Promote the adoption of pharmacy programs and solutions aimed at reducing the overall cost of care.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, and team resource distribution.
• Ensure successful implementations for new clients, renewals, and changes to benefit plans.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex pharmacy issues in collaboration with Service Operations.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders and enterprise partners.
• Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management in market strategy meetings and local industry events.
• Over 5 years of experience in PBM, ideally in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Comprehensive pharmacy background (whether as a pharmacist or in a non-pharmacist role).
• In-depth knowledge of PBM pricing, contracting, and financial strategies.
• Experience in consultative sales and client management techniques.
• Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and implement market-level business strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (seasonal).
• Previous experience in people management.
• Preferred knowledge of PBM clinical programs and specialty pharmacy.
