Pharmacy Market Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and enhance the skills of Pharmacy Clinical Account Managers and/or Pharmacy Account Executives.

• Direct pharmacy strategies for the designated market in accordance with corporate and local objectives.

• Create and implement market-specific pharmacy business and service plans to achieve financial targets.

• Collaborate closely with Medical Sales leadership to facilitate integrated sales and retention strategies.

• Act as the primary pharmacy subject matter expert for clients, brokers, and consultants within the market.

• Maintain the assigned portfolio through proactive management and expertise in PBM pricing.

• Support new sales and renewals by spearheading pharmacy RFP, pricing, and finalist strategies.

• Promote the adoption of pharmacy programs and solutions that reduce the total cost of care.

• Oversee the hiring, onboarding, performance management, and resource alignment of the team.

• Ensure the successful implementation of new clients, renewals, and changes to benefit plans.

• Serve as the escalation point for complex pharmacy issues in collaboration with Service Operations.

• Develop and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and enterprise partners.

• Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management at market strategy meetings and local industry events.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PBM, preferably in a leadership or management capacity.

• Comprehensive pharmacy background (pharmacist or non-pharmacist).

• In-depth knowledge of PBM pricing, contracting, and financial strategy.

• Experience with consultative sales and client management techniques.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive presentation abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously and implement market-level business strategies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% (seasonal).

• Previous experience in people management.

• Familiarity with PBM clinical programs and specialty pharmacy is preferred.

• Must be located in AZ, CA, NV, or the PNW.
