Pharmacy Domain Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the exploration of pharmacy data modernization projects, establish the target state roadmap, and formulate the implementation strategy for execution.

• Create comprehensive end-to-end target state architectures for essential pharmacy systems and integration frameworks that align with the roadmap.

• Define architecture standards for handling pharmacy and health data in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in pharmacy technology, with a prior title as an architect (not a senior developer with added architecture responsibilities).

• Experience with a Big Four consulting firm is preferred.

• Ability to present architectural decisions directly to stakeholders at the VP/CFO level.

• Strong background in pharmacy, with experience on both the provider and payer sides of clients.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability, including experience in acute care, primary care, PBM, or pharmaceutical R&D data ecosystems.

• Knowledge of data and cloud infrastructure, including expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.

• Understanding of NCPDP telecom standards, claims adjudication, formulary, and benefit design logic.

• Exposure to HL7/FHIR standards where pharmacy data intersects with clinical systems.
